SSD Fresh tries to prolong the lifetime of a solid state disk drive by reducing the number of read and write operations.
As SSDs became better and better performance wise, users still held off on adopting SSDs because their lifespan may not match that of a traditional HDD. SSDs were more limited in the amount of data writing they could handle before they started to degrade.
Over the years however, SSDs have gotten to a point where they can match HDDs, if you pay for a good one and do your research before buying.
However, some people still would prefer to be on the cautious side. This app attempts to reduce the number of read and write operations and thus increases the lifetime of your drive, in theory anyway.
Do remember though that this tool will disable things in Windows, for example it will stop Windows from timestamping files just to reduce the amount of writing done. It also disables prefetch which could be a major performance hit.
It also deactivates Windows Event Logging, which could be a major problem later if you encounter problems with Windows and have no in-depth logs to consult.
