Prefetch Optimizer is a prefetch monitoring tool for Windows operating systems that aims to improve performance by optimizing the contents of the prefetch folder.

- Decreases the boot up time of Windows and startup time of many previously used Windows and 3rd party program indefinitely
- Automatically discovers, copies, backs up and replenishes any new Prefetch files (.pf extension) added to the WindowsPrefetch folder
- Bypasses Windows automated process of removing files from the WindowsPrefetch folder when they have not been used frequently
- Offers the ability to remove one or more .pf files from the Prefetch folder
- Provides the option to flush the WindowsPrefetch folder contents and start anew
- Includes a Replenish Prefetch Folder Interval slider bar which auto replenishes the WindowsPrefetch folder at a specific time interval
- Displays a real-time list and the amount of files that are present in the WindowsPrefetch folder
- Offers a separate option to Backup and Restore a select group of files that have been manually backed up previously
- Disables/Enables Windows Superfetch/Prefetch feature and caches either application .pf files, boot .pf files or both
- Furnishes the option to configure the Superfetch Service for manual start, automatic start or automatic (delayed start)
- Immediately invokes the re-generation of a new layout.ini file or restores a previously generated layout.ini file
- Contains an uptime clock which displays the amount of time/days that Prefetch Optimizer and Windows has been up and running
- Generates log file entries which identify any new Prefetch files (.pf extension) added to the WindowsPrefetch folder
- Ability to send an email notification with log attachments when new .pf files are discovered in the prefetch folder
- Option to send an email notification of the total uptime that Prefetch Optimizer and Windows has been up and running
- Allows an option to setup your Windows user account to automatically logon to your Windows session
- Automatic startup upon user log in
